Your team responsibilities

In this role you will be responsible for the identification, aggregation and reporting of private capital and hedge fund transactional and exposure data, as well as private company characteristics and financial statement metrics. Data is compiled through the examination and analysis of fund manager reporting and other resources. This information helps our institutional asset owner clients better understand their portfolio composition as well as measure investment performance and risk. The Data Analyst understands all Private Capital Solutions data and works closely with the Client Coverage organization to handle operational queries and provide support to ensure data integrity.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert point of contact for Client Services for any support or resolution of client queries relating to Private Capital Solutions data as needed.
  • Serve as a backup for all locations by providing critical time sensitive data input, data validation and Client Services support when peers in other locations are not available.
  • Provide service specific information to clients relating to policies, procedures and methodologies.
  • Ensure a successful and timely client experience by managing ad hoc task requests and data reconciliations.
  • Respond to inquiries relating to system applications and provide helpdesk support, resolve problems, and support end users.
  • Identify and escalate potential control gaps in a timely manner to decrease impact and ensure resolution.
  • Coordinate and facilitate user support meetings and trainings as necessary.
  • At times interact directly with clients and fund managers to ensure a data completion and integrity.
  • Recommend service improvements based on Client Service feedback.
  • Work under limited supervision following standardized practices and/or methods.

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

  • Undergraduate degree – Majors in Finance, Economics, Investment Management, Accounting, Business Management & Information Systems
  • Post-graduate qualifications advantageous, e.g. CFA, CAIA
  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience
  • Familiarity with financial markets, accounting practices and alternative assets (private capital & hedge funds)
  • Database application experience advantageous – SQL, PowerBI or Python
  • Strong English communication skills required. Client servicing experience advantageous
