Your primary responsibility will be to review and analyze the data we source and apply a rules-based methodology to determine Ratings for companies based on their ESG performance. You will focus on specific sectors - we are currently interested in hiring an analyst for the Materials sector (e.g. Mining, Steel or Chemicals) or the Consumer Discretionary sector. As a Market Expert, in addition to rating companies in your coverage, you will be responsible for monitoring ESG-related regulations and practices in South and Central America and assess their impact. Your specific responsibilities shall include: • Deliver high quality ESG research for companies in our global coverage on a timely basis; • Support implementation of quality control measures and oversee research conducted by other members of the team; • Be the go-to person for the region under coverage, creating/sharing knowledge of the market(s) with the ESG Ratings team; • Coordinate with internal and external suppliers in enhancing the quality of the data sourced; • Contribute to ongoing improvements of the ESG ratings model; • Contribute to implementing processes critical for ensuring operational stability
