Your Key Responsibilities

We are building cutting-edge software and data workflows to identify and analyze the exposure and impact to climate change. Clients from across the capital ecosystem use our integrated data, analytical tools, indexes and insights for a clear view of the climate transition. 

We are seeking an outstanding Software Engineer to join our ESG&Climate Application Development team in the Pune office. As part of a global team you will collaborate in in cross-functional teams to build and improve our industry-leading ESG, Climate and Net-Zero solutions. 

The ESG&Climate Application Development team supports the delivery platform for ESG Research clients and the internal production platform used by our analysts and researchers. 

· Deliver new functionality for the internal production platform and the client delivery platform for the ESG & Climate Business. 

· Design & Develop Software tools/services for ESG business. 

· Closely collaborate with Product Management, Research and Product Development, Quality Assurance, Data Operation, and IT Infrastructure on all stages of software development life cycle. 

· Good communication skill and flexible in technology adaption.

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

· Degree in a computer science, engineering or similar discipline with above average results

· 1.5 to 3 years of hands-on programming expertise in predominantly Java, but also other object orientated languages, on commercial applications

· Experience with relational database systems or non-relational database systems, preferably on a large scale

· Experience with Spring boot and REST APIs.

· Excellent knowledge about any RDBMS SQL

· Good understanding of memory management, multithreading and distributed computing

· Good to have experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Spark, Splunk

· Experience with Performance Analysis/Troubleshooting while providing solutions to optimize application performance

· Strong communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills

· Demonstrated ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced, multi-tasking development environment

· Experience on complete project lifecycle including requirements, design, implementation, QA and maintenance.
