Your Team Responsibilities

This is for a Senior Associate position with the Index Product Operations team with initial job responsibilities being the execution of the day-to-day tasks as they relate to the calculation and dissemination of MSCI Equity Indexes. This role requires proactive monitoring of Real Time and End of Day security prices and related market/company news and events thereby ensuring timely distribution/delivery of indexes to our clients. The role also involves maintaining the highest quality standards, addressing day to day operational issues in a timely manner and involvement in business and infrastructure driver projects.

Your Key Responsibilities

· Ensure accurate calculation of all the Indexes via the execution of all daily production procedures and controls while operating within strict deadlines.

· Research and interpret securities information and price fluctuations, using variety of tools such as Refinitiv and other data providers including stock exchanges and draw meaningful conclusions from the available information.

· Gain a deep understanding of our index construction techniques and applications. This includes remaining up to date with ongoing enhancements as well as new products as necessary

· Perform routine quality assurance procedures, which include checking prices and monitoring market activity to understand impact on our clients or Index calculations.

· Ensure timely delivery of all the Index Products to internal & external clients.

· Addressing client queries and collaborating with Client Service teams to assist in resolution of client queries.

· Addressing day to day operational issues in a timely manner.

· Consistently review procedures and processes to identify enhancements, efficiencies and scalability that could be created through enhancements to existing processes or new tools in support of existing products and potential new launches.

· Develop knowledge of index calculation methodologies & processes and maintain the index database in accordance with changes in Index constituents, coverage, or methodology.

· Contribute in projects relating to client or internal product requirements involving developing or reviewing business specifications followed by testing.

· Responsible for reviewing and developing processes to ensure compliance from a regulatory perspective and assisting in ongoing audits from the regulator

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

· Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics or a related quantitative field (Including equivalents of CFA, FRM, MBA)

· 5-7 years of relevant experience

· Good understanding of markets, finance, financial statements, and corporate events and keen interest in understanding the latest developments in the financial markets.

· Work experience in finance and /or capital markets with knowledge in providers of financial data products (Reuters, Interactive Data, Factset etc.).

· Familiarity with Refinitiv and/or Bloomberg market data systems is an advantage.

· Knowledge/Experience of working in Index management space is beneficial

· Good understanding of SQL, Python and Powerbi is preferable.

· Flexible in working hours including working on Sunday and Indian public holidays.

· Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects under tight, short-term deadlines.

· An independent worker who can drive certain parts of the work with minimal oversight.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

· Highly developed organizational and interpersonal skills.
