Your Team Responsibilities

MSCI is seeking an exceptional individual to join our Climate-Analytics Research Team. As a member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in the implementation, maintenance, and validation of advanced quantitative models in climate portfolio solutions. To excel in this role, you will need to leverage your expertise in financial engineering, empirical analysis, and statistical testing to develop and maintain models. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain a comprehensive understanding of global financial market dynamics. Your contributions will be instrumental in developing robust and reliable models that drive our business forward.

Your Key Responsibilities

We are looking for an exceptional candidate with high energy and motivation to join our team.

Your primary responsibility is to:

· Work on the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of our models in areas such as climate modeling.

· Develop an automation framework, built with state-of-the-art technologies, for the validation and maintenance of the models to ensure accuracy and reliability.

· Validate models through rigorous testing and analysis.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate models into broader business strategies.

· Present your work to stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment with business goals.

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

· Solid understanding of quantitative methods and statistical analysis

· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

· Critical thinking, curiosity and excellent communication skills are essential

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team; time management skills including the ability to handle multiple projects is required

· Experience with programming language (Python) is desirable

· Experience in designing, implementing and testing quantitative models is sought after

· Experience or demonstrated interest in financial markets and analytics is expected

· PhD or advanced degree in finance, economics, physics, chemistry, financial engineering, mathematics, statistics, operations research, or another quantitative discipline is required
